USS Midway Museum

Location
The USS Midway Museum is a floating city at sea, located on the San Diego Bay Embarcadero in downtown San Diego, between the Port of San Diego Cruise Terminal and the San Diego Convention Center, alongside Navy Pier.

Parking

  • The USS Midway does not have a dedicated parking lot.
  • There is a parking area located on Navy Pier adjacent to the USS Midway Museum. This lot is owned and operated by the Port of San Diego for passenger vehicles only. No RV parking.
  • Please note that during the summer, parking is limited and early arrival is encouraged.
  • Parking rates are generally between $10 – $20 subject to change at the discretion of Ace Parking and the Port of San Diego. Parking rates generally increase for special events and holidays. 
  • Metered parking is available on city streets adjacent to the USS Midway Museum. Please read all signs carefully to best understand the required timing and rates of each space.
  • Front-row handicapped parking spaces located in the Navy Pier parking lot are available on a first-come, first-served basis at lot rates.

Downtown San Diego features more than 50,000 parking spaces. Some are within walking distance of the USS Midway Museum. Many are a short pedicab or taxi ride away.

The Santa Fe Train Depot and American Plaza Trolley Station are a short 5-minute walk to the USS Midway. To view a comprehensive map of all trolley stops visit the MTS website here. The Museum is easily accessible by train, coaster, and trolley!

If you are travelling to the museum from a location within downtown San Diego, you may also consider using the San Diego – Circuit (formerly known as “The Free Ride” or FRED).
